To be honest, I don't like the idea that the guy is trying to raise 14000 dollars for it. That's a bit steep.
And Spectrum people mostly do games just for free.
He claims that he won't do anything else during a whole year, just code this game and he needs the cash for living. Somehow I don't believe him ;)
But well, if I was a NES fan I would give 5-10 dollars for such a game. If there are 2000 fans, then all this suddenly makes sense and if everybody agrees then the deal is okay.
It's a pity that you will never find 2000 people willing to pay for the Spectrum game. Think what could be created...

Hehe..I wasn't being entirely serious, but I would like to see it finished if they sort out the gameplay properly....
It is a big ask to get that much money...14 grand is like a years wage! But I suppose if it turns out to be a really good game, it would be worth it! I think people should get a little something for their work, and if I can afford it at the time I will pay for retro releases that require a bit of cash to play...
And I'd be quite happy to put a fiver towards any really well done, properly presented and packaged Speccy game! As long as I had the fiver to give...

And obviously I prefer it when they're free! :D
Of course there will be a lot of people willing to play a new Spectrum game but no so many to pay for it :)
