Mobile phone for basic internet use - suggestions?
I've got a bog standard mobile after dropping my old one last year down the toilet (:D) but I now feel it's time to upgrade. I'd like to get one that's fast enough to make me go on to forums like this and even post a message (I'm not interested in youtube etc). Anyone know of a decent mobile that fits the bill without emptying my wallet?

That was more than adequate for web browsing and should be pretty cheap now.
Galaxy Ace?
Cheep and cheerful and not a bad phone for its money.

I've gone for the iPod Touch 4G which is almost a phone.
Oh Dear!
I've just bought the Vivacity as well. It has GPS so I can run navfree and I have somehow convinced myself that it will complement my iPod. Most of my friends have iPhones so Facetime is free for life on an iPod and it also runs Spectaculator and Spectaculator Lite. My ancient mobile will become a PAYG spare.
It does have two cameras, FM radio, Android Apps, GPS and WiFi.

Most of the time people are at home, work, friend's houses, pubs and restaurants and so in reach of WiFi. So the two cameras enable free face to face video calling via Skype and there are loads of alternatives if Microsoft start charging as they have for group calls. GPS means it runs navfree satnav and so I can't see me using it as a phone except in emergencies and for people to contact me from older phones. I'll only use my landline for broadband and as I have a portable MiFi wireless modem I may drop the copper-based connection altogether.
This new changeover will have a dramatic effect on communication.
