Ebuyers 1 quid sale

edited November 2011 in Chit chat
what a total joke the server couldnt handle the amount of people on it and when you did get on and buy something it was all out of stock and i smell a massive facebook scam buy ebuyer to get people to like there crappy page.

My money is going to Eclipse Computers from now on. I mean when they cant get you the item and they phone you then give you an even better PSU than what you bought AND you get it on a SUNDAY i call that awesome serivice.

Some are reporting getting a Samsung 1080p LED 20" monitor for a quid! Couldn't get on until 3pm and it was utter ****e available. Seriously considering never using them again now as they've been pissing me off for a while with their crap Super Saver delivery.

Probably the same situation I went though at Walmart on Thursday. They advertised a 40" LCD TV for $248 going on sale at 11.59pm on Thursday. I got there at 11pm and stood waiting with the 1000000 other people. 11.40pm still no sign of the TVs being rolled out. So I stopped a manager and said,
'Am I in the right area for the TVs because I don't see them'
He said 'Oh we sold out of those at 10pm'
'Umm how have you sold out of them already when your ad states 11.59pm?'
'We gave out tickets at 10pm but the ones who got a ticket can't check out till 11.59'
'Your ad said nothing about tickets at 10pm..it said sale starts at 11.59pm'
'Sorry sir we are out and we only had 10 anyway'

been using ebuyer for years.. only 2 issues in 10? or so years and lots of buying.. can't fault em.. they fixed both things ULTRA quick.

people are like vultures / savages with ?1 etc sales.. sorry saying how it is.. thats how it is at my work also and over the years it got even worse

even competitions people are total plebs.. e.g. I won ideal home tickets. ?20 ish were.. so some bitter folk t'up north moaning about it.. yer right , like they would have wasted another ?20+ coming down at VERY short notice. should I have moaned none Londoners won other far more expensive prizes? nah.. good luck to em.

scan on the hand.. I'm blacklisted from buying.. but it made me laugh , their customer service let me down BADLY and I spent a small fortune trying to get my money back. I would never recommend them after the total pigs ear customer service I "received" . I bought a cpu + mobo.. didn't work.. they told me wait 2+ months for a new mobo!!! because of the intel mess up at the start of the year.. but in the meantime wanted to send me back a CPU that obv. I couldn't use. I demanded my money back.

obviously I should have stuck to ebuyer... I will and because of their EXCELLENT service over 6-7+ years easily, thats why I'm commenting :)
