aah - don't tell me it's not the same! 8)

(allright, allright, it's just a simle loop, not any full themed remix or whatever, but for comparation, I believe, it does the job...)

I think there's too much straw clutching there. When you compare the original theme (and not some remix), it's not really the same at all.

I cannot even find the LOTR tune that matches it in any way from my albums.

it's just that short motiff at 1:06 - 1:12, honestly - I played it bit faster as a bunch of consecutive notes and didn't bother to realistically keep the original rhytm, yup, might be a minor bug, but the tones are definitely the same (in my version and in the original theme)
I even chose similar instruments to imitate the original score, as many wouldn't notice the "theming" I believe.

in case of lotr-isengard the original score was some inches out of tune [inbetween F# - F] so this is the closest pitch to be played correctly.

    it's the riff at 1:34

Nope, still not slightly convinced. It's not the same number of notes, and it's only like four beats that you could say is similar. Apart from that, it's nothing like the Terminator theme.

well, it's just tiny part of both of the themes, to be exact, but that should be obvious. and it's focused on the 6 tones in a row in both themes - so the number of notes is the same in this case.

but that reminds me I should rather excavate the original 6 consecutive notes sample from those themes first to be straight identifiable of what we are talking about.
but that would be another video - as I don't know at the moment hpw to replace youtube video for another with the same link and tags.
so I'll leave it ike this for now.

The only similarity is that they have a rhythm that goes "biddle-ee dum dum dum", and if you're going to draw any conclusions from that, you'd have to say that they both ripped off Also Sprach Zarathustra by Strauss (aka the 2001: A Space Odyssey theme), which also goes "biddle-ee dum dum dum" at the end. And if you want to go even further back, there's Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor which goes "biddle-ee dum dum dum dum..."

That's exactly what I was thinking. It's just too vague to draw a 100% conclusion that Howard Shore copied Brad Fiedel based on roughly four beats of a tune that sounds kinda similar.
