I have VM, and noticed this the other night when the Will Smith film HanC**k was on channel 5. Could be right about the free advertising. Seems odd to me that any embedded word on the naughty list should get censored.

Ha ha that BBC page made me laugh...

"In a statement, a Virgin Media spokeswoman said: "The altered titles have been swiftly an*lysed and we're fixing any remaining glitches.""

I remember seeing an advert for the PSP on Spanish TV where it came bundled with a copy of that film, and some game. The onscreen picture had the film box behind the game, obscuring the first 3 letters of the title.

I remember looking at it and thinking 'yup... from what I've heard about that film it seems to be a fair enough description'

An email sent at work last year containing the name 'Dick van Dyke' got bounced to the ICT administrator. The school I work for was staging a production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang..

Reminded me of the censored television episode of Family Guy - "Coming up next, the *beep!* van *beep!* Show!"
