    how have you managed to not see that clip before? I'm sure even non uk people who don't know what catchphrase is know that clip :smile:

    there's another one I can't find, of the presenter who took over from roy walker, on his first show he said something like 'welcome to catchphrase' then fell all the way down the steps in the audience, breaking his arm!

    it was nice to see both jim "the" bowen and roy walker in phoenix nights :)

    such things remind me of simpler times.. or maybe I was simpler :p

    Seen the clip before, but it never fails to be funny however many times you see it. The fact that Roy and the contestants are laughing their heads off too is delightful :smile:

    I was reading the comments on that clip on YouTube and when the episode was repeated years later the offending article had been blocked out so anyone seeing it for the first time would wonder what everyone was laughing at.
    Theres loads of gameshow clips on there, there was one of Countdown where someone came up with the word '******'!. I think that might have been faked.

    Edit: It's been removed, the swear word starts with 'w'.

    there's another clip where they find the word ****flaps which is faked though :-)
