MIA ZX81 Software List?

edited December 2011 in Sinclair Miscellaneous
I'm going through some boxes at my childhood home. I've found a hundreds of cassettes of Speccy software and dozens of ZX81 cassettes, some of which look like they may be obscure (TS1000 utilities, etc). Is there a list of ZX81 software that has been archived, so I'll know what to take with me to try and archive?

I don't know - there are a few fairly comprehensive ZX81 download sites on the internet, such as :

    http://roms.zophar.net/sinclair-zx81/all

This is pretty much all of the programs which have been store to date
    Supporting Sinclairs since 1986 !

There are still a number of unknown games out there though.
I have two games not on that list myself, Star Defence and Golf/Bar Billiards.

zx81stuff.org.uk is a very good site for '81 software but is missing some titles, and the rarities are way out, quite often.

Thanks for the information. I used to be a member of a ZX81 hobbyist club and have several TS1000 games and utilities from a Canadian company. I don't remember most of the titles. Will have a look at the lists and "be reporting on my findings." :-)

A good zx81 forum is here:

    www.rwapservices.co.uk/ZX80_ZX81/forums/

less people there than WoS, but more 81 specific.....

Incidentally, the zx81stuff.org.uk website is very good but on several occasions I've tried to contact him with new details about games and got no reply, so there may be room for a more active zx81 website yet...

Ooh, I used to have Golf/Bar Billiards. (Well, I sent off for it for my brother's birthday one year, so I suppose technically he used to have it...)

On the ZX81? It's fairly scarce I believe. Can't remember where on earth I got mine from! Maybe it's the same copy. :)

Yes, ZX81. Was only available mail order IIRC.
