    Erm... no.

Only one man is great enough to do a drum solo that doesn't send all the punters to the bar...

    Neil Peart.
A guy goes on vacation to a tropical island. As soon as he gets off the plane, he hears drums. He thinks "Wow, this is cool." He goes to the beach, he hears the drums, he eats lunch, he hears drums, he goes to a luau, he hears drums. He tries to go to sleep, yet he hears drums.

This goes on for several nights, and gets to the point where the guy can't sleep at night because of the drums. Finally, he goes down to the front desk.

When he gets there, he asks the manager, "Hey! What's with these drums. Don't they ever stop? I can't get any sleep."

The manager says, "No! Drums must never stop. It's very bad if drums stop."

    "Why?"

    "When drums stop...bass solo begins."

Unfortunately, not bothering to "google" and just asking a question (even if you know the answer) is wrong?
Yes. You should be murdered in your sleep. It's for your own good.

Agreed, theres no such thing as a great bass solo.

    This is very impressive though...

    My sister likes Rush.

She also thinks Paul McArtney is a better songwriter than Lennon.

    Need I say more?

Yes, please. Does she prefer the Sinclair over the Commode? ( If the answer is negative ... well ... no need to report back  )

    theres too many metal genres.

    there should be 3

gay metal - like aerosmith, def leppord, dave lee roth
heavy metal - like motorhead, iron maiden, metallica
stupid metal - all that noise that trys to pass for music, canibal corpses, carcass

as for other music it should either be pop, rap or classical.

Also, that Machine Head cover of Negative Creep is brilliant. Loved both Nirvana and Machine Head back in the day. I think that was a b-side for MH wasn't it?

You wanna have a listen of Sepultura's cover of Mongoloid then that's a cracker :D
thats prolly boozys next weeks work playlist sorted lol

You could be right matey, although that lot'd only do me for about an hour then I'd have to find another 50 bands to listen to for the remaining 7 :D

Speaking of Seps, their covers of Procreation of the Wicked, Orgasmatron and The Hunt are awesome. They even do a good version of Symptom of the Universe.
Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.

Yep, and do you know something I really hate? When you go into a small indie record shop, look for the "Heavy Metal" bit and it's full of bastard Deep Purple and Status Quo cd's  York is really bad for that :(
