Tripods multiplayer. Players required.
Helloo, I?m up for playing Redshift?s, ?The Tripods?
Please PM me, or post here if you want to play a multiplayer game. It is up to 4 players.
A (very) lil Tripods related prize will be given to any player who reaches the White Mountain and can prove it with a screen-grab. The program may save the image itself? well it does with a 1 player game, but I can?t remember if it does when more people are involved.
Here?s the rules.
Starting off?
Player 1 starts the game. That?ll be me. I?ll enter my name (Graz, don?tcha know) and I?ll choose a starting point for myself.
The program will ask if I want to add a player. I?ll press Y and save off. I?ll then email the file to the next player. Email addresses please!
Player 2 enters their name and starting point.
A list of players then appears. The file is then emailed back to me until all spaces are filled.
I?ll play my round, then hand over to the next player.
When playing your turn.
Within each turn, please write down where you are, how many Tripods you see, items you pick up, and any confrontations you?re involved in. You must keep a log and post it on here if you are playing. I will do the same.
Save off when your turn is over and the program will state: ?Next player is xxxx Press any key to go on.?
Return the file to me each time. We?ll be using the same file (TRIPODSx) (incrementing the file number each time it?s saved) but I?ll save a back-up just incase it all goes pear-shaped.
Other notes
If the game crashes, then simply re-load the file you have been given and try again. The Tripods is prone to crashing I?m afraid.
Other notes? The game often mistakes guns for grenades and vice-versa. If you pick up a gun, try using a non-existent grenade on a Tripod. There will be other such... oddities.
The game is fairly easy. Use the map on Wos and get to the White Mountain.
Keys are:
L= Look left, R= Look right. M= Move
P= Inventory (Pack)
H= Health
E= Eat.
There is also 1&2 for options when presented.
Please read the full instructions if you get stuck.
The game is fairly slow to update? but faster than Lords of Midnight! ;)
Thank you.

I'd also like to do a multiplayer Lords of Midnight with 4 players, each controlling one of the main folks (randomly chosen) and any lords they recruit. Maybe if this works out.
