2012 stamp prices increase
don't forget they are going up , so stock up if you use a lot.. april 9th perhaps.
obv. the ones marked 1st / 2nd WITHOUT any price on.
they haven't let on how much they are going up yet.. even the post office staff don't know..
my prices for postage sadly will also reflect the price increase.
I'm guessing they will go up a lot, because they are avoiding telling people the new prices

I subscribe to the HUKD daily newsletter which is aimed at the moola-challenged.
They used to regularly have smaller discounts as did Costco. But as you say there is not much time left.
Come to think of it, I don't think first and second class ones include the price any more anyway.
so you tell us all things speccy related yet forget to pass that on, I could have saved a fortune .. cheers "m8" ;)I've spent near ?500 stamps, so that'd have helped. if your saying I could have got 1/3 off . Assuming that also covered Large letter stamps, otherwise it's no good to me..
*rubs you off Christmas card list (saves a stamp) :D *
I'm just worried how much the leap is though, because they are keeping so quiet.
Hairy I'm surprise ya don't. I see a lot use a franking machine etc which is cheaper.. but well before they were 58p, they were 51p.. I think it saved me about ?80 .. sure it's a lot to hand out, but when your getting 7p a stamp off it adds up really quicky.
I'll be curious the effect it has on 8 bit tape sellers, as I doubt any of us are gonna take up the slack for the increases.
If not, send tapes out by courier :)
job lots = courier.. anything over 2 or 4kg, I forget which. but obv. not to the "islands" or NI , the post normally is cheaper. the price band is ?7 or ?10.. and obv. a courier does 7-10kg as cheap I forget which.
6 tapes is what I normally send via post.. has to be hhhmm a lot for me to use a courier and I try to book 2-3 things so I don't wait in for em.
I like sending small amounts of tapes, coz they fit thru the letter box, and the odd "matey" who tries it on and say they are lost.. I say , refund ? sure.. sign a statement saying you didn't get it and I'll inform the police / post office.. (as well as proof that I get).. oddly the tapes normally turn up next day, ODD THAT ;)
Thats why they didnt tell anyone

:-)
The 5% deal is still on at WH Smith and others.
See the daily HUKD top offers

(Today's email - also 15 cans Pepsi max for 99p at 99p stores)
and check their website for the Supermarket you go to for general offers and pricing mistakes before setting off. Phone app too.
That rainbow-coloured w**ly-warmer a friend of mine posted here was from their site too.
then in the actual story say.........."could" reach a pound (ie:- in the future lol)
another straight out lie to make daily mail readers angry
that only covers "normal" stamps prolly , I mean you could use em for LL, but I think post office and maybe costco are the few that do LL stamps perhaps?
superdrug are doing it also again , doubt they have LL stamps
That must have been the printed version which I don't buy. I did a search online and could not get the story. I did find a story which should help anyone who runs out after the rise. People on benefits can buy them at the old price.
Buy stamps off them and they won't feel so worthless too. Win Win situation.
Coupled with this makes it a newspaper to avoid...
nice to see the sunday sport right down at the bottom.
the dont need illegal methods to uncover bin ladens porn dwarf stash. (i haven't made that up)
you saw his addy, i knew i should have blind copied the emails.

There is a Putney receipt from two days ago there
It works like this.
Buy a 60p greetings card which enables you to buy a ?15 gift card for ?10.
You can spend this on anything including stamps
Buy three books of stamps 3x12x46 = ?16.56
?11.24 is applied from gift card leaving ?3.76 credit for another time.
You have to stump up ?5.32 for stamps.
(I'm not sure why the full value of gift card was not applied against the transaction but worth checking out)
There would not seem to be the 5% extra discount involved anymore.
all in aid to get more revenue for the price hike.. I think thats rather snide of them doing that to be honest.
(and yes I bought stupid amounts of stamps in the past few weeks , so *middle finger salute* to the "nice" person who had that brainwave)

Now there is not so many people buying loads, as the initial rush has died off.
Then they announce that they are limitting they supply.
Hmmmm, I think they are trying to get people to panic buy, like the recent BS witht the fuel. They must've taken a lot of money recently, a lot more than usual. They're up to something I'm sure.
