Released programs using Fourspriter?

edited April 2012 in Development
What programs have been released so far, using Fourspriter?

There's Kurashiku Nihongo Monsuta Shiro 3 obviously.

Any others?

As far as I know, that's it, I'm afraid. The library hasn't been used very much to date. We have (let me check...) one Hisoft-compiled Sinclair BASIC and four ZX Basic unfinished projects which use the library. Sadly, I don't know if they will ever see the light of the day. We may release them as unfinished demos in future covertapes, though, along with source code. But right away the time is tight.

That's not too bad at all. In comparison, not a single program has used the BIFROST* ENGINE so far, and I'm already working on its third release! :)

    I hope so!

I still think that the multicolour engines are tailor made for a hi def game of Chaos...

As I mentioned before, if someone wants to develop any kind of multicolor game using BIFROST*, let me know and I will provide full support...

I thought the BIFROST was just a pretty demo, when i down loaded the file it just displayed what can be done or has there been another file since then?

The truth is, I developed the library for personal use, so it's perfectly fine ;) Maybe if I found the time *or* a translator to make my tutorial series into English, the library would get a wider userbase.

You know, people could be interested in producing something as weird looking (when compared to what we are used to) as this:

The BIFROST* package contains a set of multicolor tiles, the multicolor engine, and a pretty demo that demonstrates what can be done with them.

There's a very detailed documentation for programmers explaining how to use it all, for developing programs in either Sinclair BASIC, Boriel's ZX BASIC, C (using z88dk), or directly in Assembly.

I'm currently working on a few games using BIFROST*, that I intend to release soon (with source code) so people will have more complete examples as reference.

It takes some tiome to write a game, and even more time to make it playable. I have currentle 4 projects I'm working at, at same time (one is finished, but needs bugfixing).
Surely there are some coders working already on games that use BIFROST Engine. I plan to use it too.

I remember reading about your SUVLEIR tool here and I found it very interesting.

Hopefully someone will eventually use this tool to produce a game!

    True. So there's still hope!
