Infogrames games released as Infogrames [FR]

edited April 2012 in Infoseek database
-Initiation au Basic, all the series (1, 2, 3 and 4).

-North and South???: I have some doubts here; the game is in english, spanish and french, so it may have been distributed in France??

-"The Inheritance" also has as AKA L'heritage, but I dont know where that comes from??

-The same happens with "Sidney Affair" and "Vera Cruz".

And another thing: Some games, like Welltris, have the instructions in french, and this instructions cover the Spectrum part (How to load the game, etc...), what should we do here?

Initiation au BASIC has been updated.

The other ones are basically why I delayed the Infogrames correcting for so long - I have no idea... ;-)

Why? I see no reason why these should be split. Are they two different companies?

(Apropos: Command was a label by Infogrames as indicated here)

It is relevant if you wish to know the release countries. Hence the tag. :-)

Command Software is now listed as a label from Infogrames.

Ah! New feature? But shouldn't that be a property of the software and not the company/label?

Not a new feature at all. :-)
All publishers have their release country listed since the start.

But not as part of the publishers name/label!? Or have I missed something fundamental here?

Okay, I misunderstood your original question. Thanks for the explanation!

I agree it's a very uncommon case, but, yes, this has been done before.
This only applies to multinationals that had localised publications (McGraw-Hill is another example) - it's a bit of a compromise, as there is no country information in the individual software records.
