He was majestic this year, by far and away the best player of the tournament. Still think he should have broken Hendry's 7 titles by now though. Ridiculous that you could think a four time winner has probably underachieved :-o

I'd liked to have seen Judd Trump in the final but it wasn't to be.

    Fixed that for you... :p

How you can say tennis is more boring than cricket is way beyond me. I mean, cricket! Really? They're standing around doing next to nothing for so long that they wear sun block...

Because you are shallow and uninformed, just because people are not running about about like mad things does not make it boring, otherwise playing computer games would be boring, all you do is sit there and twiddle your thumbs...

I'm shallow because I have better things to do with my time than to watch a bunch of blokes sunbathing? It's not about them not running about, I'm not into watching men chasing a ball into a net either. I like watching F1, they don't run around, they sit at the wheel of a car for 70-odd laps... ;)

I guess if you play the sport or aspired to do it at one point. then it'll whole more interest.

the pro's make it look easy , maybe too easy and thats part of the problem or like anything very formula based / set.

Not always - I love playing golf with my mates, but I can't stand watching it on telly. Same with snooker. Same with footie (except international finals). In fact, I'm sure I'd probably enjoy playing cricket, I just think (like the others I've mentioned) it's boring as hell to watch. Only my opinion, like...

Actually I find GP quite boring as well, I watch the 1st 5 minutes, go away for 2 hours, come back and watch the last 5 minutes...

In all honesty, I can understand why people would find it boring, watching the same cars go round and round the same track for a couple of hours. I just happen to have a dad that's crazy about it, and it was something we used to sit and watch together every Sunday when I was a kid, so it kinda stuck I guess...

I'd go with Cricket and Golf.

Cricket is coma inducing to watch, but it is fun to play, I used to quite enjoy a game of it down the park with me mates on a sunday afternoon. Never did it very often but it was fun when we did. Used to like it when we played it in school as well (but that was usually more to do with the entertainment value of the dopey kid in the class trying to catch the ball with his eye sockets ).

That reminds me of a few school cricketing injuries I've witnessed:

    1. The idiot who decides to stop the ball with his foot - cue broken ankle.

    2. Someone trying to catch the ball had it hit the top of his middle finger - the top finger "segment" ended up by his knuckle.

    3. Someone caught the ball between the fingers of one hand. The webbing between the fingers tore by about an inch.

I once got stung by a wasp catching a cricket ball. It must have hit the thing in the air and the b*****d stung me when I caught it.
