I bought and watched a DVD released by Troma the other day and have already forgotten what it was. I'll have a look.

bonkers film, I liked it. but from what I understand it's not a 'typical' troma film...

    Yep! :D

They're crap, but some of them are crap in a good way

Used to watch Troma's Edge TV when it was on, that Lloyd Kaufman is like a double pervy, double weird, double un-pc Mel Brooks on viagra :D

Seen some of the really old crap like Nymphoid Barbarian in Dinosaur Hell, and Surf Nazis Must Die.

Tromeo and Juliet, and Terra Firma are pretty messed up though, especially Terra Firma.

Never did get to see Cannibal Lesbian Hoe Down though

That's the one when they cut the kids fingers off with a machete in class, and then later ram the same kids head into a fire hydrant and burst it open? right?

If so that's a good un' as well.

I need to see Troma's War, it's kind of an older one now, but I still haven't watched it.

You'd remember the kid who's head gets burst, he has a bald head with nothing but 2 blonde pigtails on the side, think he may even have pink ties on them?

Now that I think of it he may be wearing a cheerleaders uniform as well? But I'm not sure? It's been about 10-15 years since I've seen it mesel?

I remember seeing one years ago where a monster shoved its arm up a pregnant woman's vag and ripped out her baby! I can't remember the film but it was one of Troma's newer efforts, it was very, very sick! (but funny!)

Might just be distributed by em rather than being an actual troma film
I have a few distributed by em on dvd, not actually made by them

in my stoner phase then yeah we thought Troma was golden

Class of Nukem High 2 was probably the high point (geddit?) for me but I always wanted to see one they had as a trailer called Rabid Grannies....that looked golden

I was disappointed, it's not very gory or funny.

Still didn't fall as flat on it's face as Chopper Chicks in Zombie Town, the chicks are all mingin', there's not a single pair of jugs in the film, and erm it's not gory or funny either.

Actually now I think of it most of the Troma flicks I've watched were, and still are crap :D

There was a phase a few years ago where, I think, Channel 4 were showing Troma films every week (along with Troma TV). I watched quite a few of those films like Toxic Avenger, Terra Firma (I loved that one) and several others. I thought they were good fun :-)

I remember buying a DVD of Toxic Avenger a day or two after it was shown on TV as I thought it was quite good, but was gutted to find my copy had been censored to hell and every bit of gore had been cut out. Nothing was left in! Which was doubly gutting (pardon the pun  ) as all the gore bits were shown uncut on telly just a few days before, plus, were mainstay clips of the Troma TV series :-(

It was still an 18cert DVD :-( Every bit of gore had gone. No blood at all was left in. Nothing! It put me off buying any more Troma films at all. Even at ?5.99 it was a total rip off :-(

Not a big Troma fan... but I did see Chopper Chicks in Zombietown, Rabid Grannies and Stuff Stephanie in the Incenerator at a midnight show at the local flea pit back in the 90's.
