The white Spectrum doesn't really appeal to me as much as the clear ZX80 (in Rick Dickinson's photos) or the Gold QL - if anyone has one of those lying around, please get in touch !!
Apart from the topic on WoS he opened, he also found my via my website, and asked me for keyboard replacement options.
Not only here on WoS, but also by me his patience was tested, because it took about a day to awnser to his posts and emails.
As it seemed he didn't have that patience, and flipped out completely here on WoS.
My last mail to him was that I would consider mailing Martijn to delete his terrible post in his topic.
But I got a server reply that his email adress was deleted.
So he does not want to be reached anymore.
I feel a bit sad about him, as he is Dutch and I - and we - are only trying to help.
But I know I don't have to feel bad, because it's his behavoir and character.
So, back to more positive things: I will buy a paintcan with white paint, and pull one of my 48K's of the shelves.
Let's make a good price... 1000 GBP is too much of course, redicolous.
So I'll sell mine for 990 GBP! What a bargain!!!!
The keys may be a bit sticky.. probably due to aging...
I know an injection molding guy we use sometimes at work.
...if 3 or 4 of you want a white speccy @ 1000 quid each let me know...It might be worth paying the tooling fee for the mold and flood ebay with white speccies.

well I've got a grey +2 with velesofts mutant unrainer in it (contended memory now matches +2a), gonna do a stereo sound mod on it but what I really need it to get a rom blown with the SE Basic roms (Andrew's 128k editor with the original 48k rom)
once that's done (tbh honest I can do this at any point) I'm going to cover the case in loading screens then seal it, hopefully it'll turn out allright

Could be fun, I wouldn't mind having a novelty speccy in my collection.
