New Game: Gnarly Simon

edited June 2012 in Brand new software
As discussed far too much here, Swashbuckling Disappointment appear to be proud to annouce the release of Gnarly Simon, the first Spectrum game to not use that over-rated "SCREEN$ area".

The game has been uploaded to WoS, but for now it can be downloaded from here.

Enjoy!

    That's horrible!

    Yet strangely addictive :D

I do understand the significance of what's been done here though :)

    Hahah! Nice job :)

It's actually far more fun to play than I'd thought it might be.

Looking forward to seeing how Martijn handles doing the screenshot in the archive!

Well, I think we can all agree that it doesn't look like much. :p

Same way he did for BorderTrix I expect. 320x240 scaled to 256x192.

The game is now in the archive. :-)

Note: there are numbers other than one and ten when voting.

Haha, I broke into the game, now I'm gonna steal all the secrets enclosed and make my Harry Price fortune with it on the Kizzatronic range. Mwahahaha!

I'm rather disappointed. I had hoped that the border would be quartered to match the original:

Unfortunately all our hands have now seized up after playing the game for too long, as a result of which our fingers now only allow us to vote 1, 2, 4 or 6... :-P

Lol at the program's REM statements...

Perhaps the sequel could dispense with the the colour aspect altogether, thus allowing me to play it on my rubber keyed speccy without needing to connect it to a TV.? :-D

If he'd done that then there would be no Gnarly Simon 2...
I wanna tell you a story 'bout a woman I know...
