Help with a Moded Xbox (original) I think?

Help!

I have purchased an Xbox crystal (Boxed) off Ebay and upon receiving it I noticed it had been moded

well I say moded it has three switches sticking out of the side and they are all lit up (GREEN LED) and the Xbox plays fine

now if I switch one on (or RED led) the front of the Xbox flashes and the CD drives kicks in three times then nothing.

So I have checked the hard drive and it's been totally wiped (no hidden games there) and was wondering if it has been moded how would I get it working

*I have never used a moded console before :-o *

    I've had a few modded xbox's myself and that sounds like you have an executer mod chip with an external switch (hence the led's).
    Now it's been a while since I've used an xbox with a chip,but if my memory serves me correctly them chips have four banks available to flash four different modded bios on them,and to access them you use the different switches on the front panel.
    Chances are when the xbox doesn't boot with the red led this means you have a blank bank (no bios) in that part of the chip.
    When the xbox does boot are you presented with the green xbox microsoft dashboard or is it a custom one?.Like evo-x or unleashed?.
    Also when the animation logo begins under the xbox logo do you see 'microsoft' or something like 'xecuter'?.
    This will give you a good clue as to what bios the xbox is booting from.

    ok well I have just ripped it apart (opened it carefully)
    and it's an x2.6 card???

    but there are no other wires connected apart from the bank selector's so I am guessing it needs a power lead to it?

    there are no logo's it just flashes and a blank screen

    Sussed it there are two banks and an on/off switch (I never saw it :confused:)

    EDIT : works now....yipeee best ?4.95 ever

    I thought there was banks on them as when i had an executer chip i only used two banks (one as a backup bios) and left the others blank.
    If you need any other assistance then pm me as I'm pretty good with xboxes and pc's,it's just spectrums I'm naff with,even though I owned one in the 80's!.
    That'll teach me for using them just for games lol.
    The guys here have been good to me for that though.

    thanks it's working and I have most of the roms as I collect Mess/Mame stuff

    I've just uploaded coinops 4 emulator with 32 gig of mame and neo-geo stuff to my xbox which I'm sifting through.

    Its such a great machine the original xbox.

    I have 3 set up in my house mainly for xbmc but i also use them for emulation
