specy not working help please

Hi dont know if this is the right place to ask but if anyone could help or direct me to the right place I would be most greatfull. bought a specy 48k off ebay it powers up but the screen is scrambled you do not get the wording at the bottwm of the screen the best way I can describe it is like interference you get a dim border the center is scrambled, any help please.

    Ah the old 'sold as untested' spectrum on ebay? Whenever I read that now I know it means, doesn't work :-(.

    I can recommend the mutant caterpilar repair service:

    ian@mutantcaterpillar.co.uk but put a hyphen between "mutant" and "caterpillar"! You may need to go via rwap services though I'm not sure. Reasonable costs in my opinion.
