The Tripods watched every episode every day for over 3 years.

Also...

I watched all The Sweeney episodes at least 15 times each. Others include Lethal Weapon 1&2, Get Carter (original) and Monty Python and the holy grail, i've watched that about 10 times and its still funny.

I'm a Married with Children fan. Having downloaded all the episodes from the net several years ago, and seen them so many times, went to Amazon and bought myself the entire dvd collection because it was the proper thing to do.

Haha! Yup! There's another you can add to my list, this one went on a lot on my night off work when I was working at WHSmiths. Get drunk/high/double combo, go get pizza from Iraqi mate who owned pizza shop at 2AM (almost 3 hours after the shop shut), watch movie, laugh loudly, and then drink some more whilst working on JSW remakesor playing SNES games in an emu :D

Happy times.....Or maybe sad times now that I think of it? :D

Jaws - loads of times on DVD, and whenever it's on telly
Star Wars - all sorts of different versions
    Blazing Saddles - fantastic film
For Your Eyes Only - the Bond one set all over Corfu
City Slickers - just gets better as you get older
    Robocop - a classic
Dragnet - another oldy but a goody

On telly, big big fan of Haven, Spartacus and Warehouse 13. I think Haven is my favourite thing on right now.

Star Wars (original trilogy) I stopped counting after 200th time, and have seen them a "few times" after that mark.

Indy trilogy ... lots and lots and lots of times.

ST:TNG seen some episodes too many times to keep count of them.
I've watched Groundhog day LOADS of times. Fitting :)

Assuming that you like the movie*, I think you're the first person aside from myself who likes it.

*Because, I mean maybe it's due to circumstances beyond your control that you've been forced to watch is loads of times. Such as, pressure from significant other, or perhaps only movie shown where you work, or some such craziness.

no craziness, no such things... simply you just get stuck in one particular day that repeats on&on ;)

what makes you think there are only two persons out liking this masterpiece of comedy?
even non religiously constituted people pray every night to the saint murray :D

For me, it would be Blake's 7.

Groundhog Day is fairly good, but the ending is naff.
What I don't quite get is why I like The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou - no-one else I know could watch it. Same with Magnolia - I think it's an amazing film, but no-one else seems to get it. Although I do think the extended trailer for it is one of the finest pieces of film-making I've ever seen - possibly better than the film itself. Maybe that's why.

Probably Marx Bros' Go West and a Day at the Races plus Woody Allen's Bananas and The Sleeper, full of hilarious scenes.

I would also put Bananas on my list!

I think the tV show I've seen the most is probably family ties, my grandmother & mother loved it when I was a kid, taped it and saw it all the time

as for films, probably Indiana Jones & Star Wars, but the scene I've seen the most is the odessa staircase sequence in Batleship Potemkin... I can't remember a week on film school when some reacher didn't show it to us, and even now when I give classes, I'm obliged to show it (I think I know it by heart by now...)

There's loads of things I've seen loads of times over the years. I try and remember as many as I can:

    TV:

Only Fools and Horses - pretty much all of them, only the last 3 I've only seen once or twice, the rest are all well into double figures.

Red Dwarf - Again, all well into double figures apart from the new Dave ones. i've only seen those once (BTE three times if you include the one with comentary)

IT Crowd - Only 3 or 4 viewings each, but a series I know I'll return to again and again.

Jackass - Good after pub viewing and always good to kill an evening.

    Films:

Ghostbusters - I watched this again a couple of weeks ago!

Blazing Saddles - I've almost forgotten the words, so I'm gonna have to watch it again ;-)

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory - See above

Spaceballs - I've lost my DVD, so I've not seen this in a while.

Nightmare on Elm Street - All of them. Even the remake. I've seen that at least half a dozen times.

Battle Royal - Never gets old. I own this 3 times, twice on DVD and aagain on Blu-ray.

Nuts! My minds gone blank now  I'll have to have a rethink and come back!

I seem to remember hardly missing a single episode of "Neighbours" from the age of about 8 to 11. considering it was on every weekday that probably puts it in my top 3 most watched shows of all time, which is slightly embarrassing. recently watched a couple of old clips on youtube and it's hard to figure out what the appeal was, it's not even that good.
  • TV
    Mainly comedy
I'm Alan Partridge - those two series are some of the best comedy ever made
Only Fools - it's just nice, gentle and amusing and very re-watchable - just as well as it's going to be on every single day until for the rest of eternity
Fawlty Towers - just brilliant and only 12 episodes as Cleese got out before it went stale
Red Dwarf - sadly watching the old stuff reminds me of how 'well, it's alright' the new series is
Blackadder - saw the Dr Johnson episode with Robbie Coltrane the other day - just brilliant and consistently good from series 2-4.
Frasier - clever, well written and good, comfortable viewing
Peep Show - at least for the first few series it was one of the best things on telly
Curb Your Enthusiasm - got into this quite late but love it and have seen most episodes a few times.

I'll think of some fillums too.

    Star Wars(es)
    Alien(ses)
    Highlander(ses)
    Father Ted
    Spaced
    The Avengers
    The Persuaders!

Jeff Waynes Musical Version of The war of the Worlds (with Tara Blaise as Beth - google her, you won't be disappointed!)

...there's loads more. I usually have something on in the background when I'm surfing/working/gaming.

Just literally scanning the shelves in my 'puter room and I can see all of the above.
  • Film-wise it's probably the ones I had on VHS that I've seen the most. I tended to re-watch films more then.

    Stuff like
(Already mentioned Groundhog Day - 20+ times)
    Quadrophenia (20+ times)
    Tommy (20+ times)
    ID (10+ times)
Withnail and I (possibly 50+ times - I used to watch it and drink wine with a mate of mine most weeks a few years back)
    Enter the Dragon (10+ times)
One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest (10+ times)
    LA Confidential (20+ times)

All the usual Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Ghostbusters, Goonies, Jaws, Back to the Future (only the first one as don't really like the others)

definitely. seen both a massive amount of times but for some reason series 2 gets more watches from me even though series 1 is probably 'better', objectively speaking. even thinking about alan partridge is enough to make me laugh...
