Cross hair in Aces of Aces

In instruction is said:
"...Cross hair turns red when in range of enemy target..."
but this never happen, not even on TZXs from WoS :( is this a game's bug or I shoud visit eye-doctor ?

Is this game (100%) frustrating one OR there is a way to DODGE the bullets from enemy fighters ???

I mean only way I found is to get 'him' ASAP or you'll be hit (dammaged) so there is no skill in game just luck... every time you hear enemy's dakka-dakka-dak you're hit :((

Game could(?) be playable and challenging IF you can do real 'dog fight'. So, from your experience, is this a good game or CRAP conversion ??

Anyway it's still a great game, even without such unfair advantages good only for weak and pathetic people like C64 users :p
