Name the book
Hello,
I'm trying the remember the name of a spectrum basic type-in book I bought from WH Smiths back in the early(ish) eighties. Nothing in the archive rings a bell and I only have a few things to go on:
- there were around 10-20 listings
- the listing were all 'arcade' (as much as basic would allow)
- one game was definitely called RearGuard or RearGunner. Think poor man's Timegate without the travel.
- one game took place on a grid of black/white & bright squares which represented a city, and you the player (another square) had to get out of the city without getting mugged. I think there were subways in the corners (yet another square) to help you. I think it was referred to in the book as having the strangest plot or something.
Not much I know, but jog anyone's memory?
