Portal for ZX Spectrum?
I bring you a video. Portal the game for Texas Instruments Calculator:

I don't remember seeing anything similar on spectrum (if I am mistaken, sorry), but I believe that someone here may start a ZX Spectrum version. As you see, it's a 2D version, and it must be fun.
No, I don't know programming (except 10 PRINT "HELLO WORLD"), but it's an idea, no? :D ;)

I guess there are some key differences in gameplay between the two games (yeah, I know, that's the biggest understatement ever, but I'm thinking of things like falling deaths vs infinite falling, and fixed jump paths vs variable momentum) - so you'd have to sacrifice some of the original game mechanics one way or the other... but I reckon it would be really interesting to see how the two concepts could be mashed up.

Aside from both being a platformer, there isn't much similarities imho. There is no deadly monsters in the portal :) There are no push-button puzzles in the jsw :)
Oooh Ascii-portal, maybe Bobs feels the need of completing the trilogy with LumASCII and a final third part?? :)
