I really have no idea where this year has gone at all.....I reckon it must actually be time speeding up or something! It can't just be us getting older, can it?
I mean, I even hear 18 year olds on the bus complaining about how time seems to go by a lot faster these days! SO yeah, must be speeding up....not getting old....no, no, no.....
I always thought the days started getting longer from the 21st...
The days, maybe. But the evenings get lighter first. Today, sunset is at 15.51, tomorrow at 15.52, even though tomorrow's daylight hours are 41 seconds less than today (the sunrise time is still getting later). On the 20th, sunset is at 15.53 even though there is about 3 minutes less daylight.
This is of course an artefact of our standard mid-day not being precisely solar mid-day.
