quite a decent price, but I can only go up to ?2mill (I wish..lol)

errm there was an old airport place on some tv house hunting show the other week.. a control tower, that was grade 2 listed... the roof it great for terrace parties hehe

but if it's listed in anyway by english heritage, that could be a problem

it all depends on any planning restrictions to who would buy it.. but yer it'd be decent enough AND you get a stupid amount of storage..

but I guess any land tax or upkeep costs are the real thing that would put people off...

I used to date someone in colchester.. and their area wouldn't show up on google earth etc because of the bases there..so could be a benefit also :p

I'll ask em if they'll take cash on collection ;-)

I thought about bidding but was put off by the seller only having 99.8% Positive Feedback.

Bizarre lot of other items he's selling -

you could buy the base, get him to chuck in these... then convert these in to jetman like teleporters :D

oh wait.. they tried that in the fly :-(

    I sent a msg anyway

"a few things.. would you take cash on collection ;-) .. and are any of the building listed or have "grade" restrictions on them regarding the land itself ?"

as the guy who owned the building next to jumbo (recording place) bought it blindly , it was massive place. but couldn't use it for anything due to serious amount of conditions attached to the lease or freehold

Underground operations base? Fantastic. But does it have a Thunderbirds style vehicle lift or just boring old stairs?

    From Wikipedia:
"In October 2006 local media reported that a buyer had been found for the now disused section of the base. The 25 1/2 acres site was advertised again in January 2010, with an asking price of ?4,000,000"

this is one near me in dollis hill, in london :)

    http://www.subbrit.org.uk/rsg/sites/d/dollis_hill/

    not for sale..

but round the corner was the GPO office where Tommy Flowers did some of the ground breaking stuff (now flowers close is there).. weird to think he died in Hendon years later.. again a local place in NW London..

there used to be a seaplane left locally on the welsh harp (a resovour) apparently for the royals to escape if need be in WW2

    Regards"
