Stupid Bloody Game!

So I'm playing Football Director 2. The instructions say the key to the game is building up a youth team so I do exactly that. I have about 5/6 youth team players and about 10 games into the season my coach retires. That shouldn't be a problem except he seems to have abducted my entire youth team! WTF! The game tells you to build up a youth team and then obliterates it!
I'm so livid I could stamp my foot!

I bet you're not over the moon with that one

on a related note I seem to remember Soccer Boss decided to sell your players randomly. you'd finish a game and get back to the main menu to find out your star striker had been sold.
  • I never liked Soccer Boss. The results just seemed to be completely random. What's the point in putting together a team full of 8/9 rated players just to get beaten 5-0 by a team of all 2/3 rated players. That happened so regularly, I found it a bit absurd.

Yeah that was the most annoying aspect of the game, i hated the weekly news section but i still played the game to death, plus once to got to div 1 and won the FA cup there was nothing else to do, there was no European campaigns to play.
    The trouble with tribbles is.......
  • I never really got on with the FD games as I always thought it was a bit nasty that you were 'rewarded' for doing well by the difficulty being ramped up. So, you always ended up having to try and do well enough to get promoted but not too well.

I wasn't aware of the youth team bug, but then again I only really played the first game.

On the Bench, The Double, Treble Champions and Football Champions all the way! :)
