Issue 6A trouble

Only socketed chip is ULA which ive swapped out just in case, no change, the image is not static however, constantly moving.
Paul Farrows 128k tester does nothing, image stays the same. Im thinking Z80? Any thoughts?

    It might be video RAM.
    I see something similar when I remove the video Ram on my spectrum.

    Lower 16k? I usually get something with the tester if thats the case, not the same result, unless you meant elsewhere?

    Yes the lower 16K removed gives me something similar.
    Fast moving/flickering bricks, about a quarter character size.
    Issue 3B board.

    If I have time this week I could take a few pictures/movies of situations where ICs are removed.
    ICs are all socketed except the LM1889N.
    Might be useful for Ben's repair guide anyway.
