Fearless Frank: Daredevil Dennis clone?

edited March 2013 in Infoseek database
Fearless Frank appears to be a poor copy of the BBC classic(!) Daredevil Dennis, also by Visions Software. As far as I'm aware Daredevil Dennis isn't just a rip off of something else itself but I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong :)

They both seem like clones of 'Stunt Rider' from the Colorstars console (1979), though that may well have been copied from an early arcade machine. In that game you controlled the speed of the bike to take jumps using ramps. There was no separate 'jump' button, but there was the wrap-around mechanic where you run across the top line of the screen, then the next, etc.

As I said, I'm sure I'd seen an early black & white arcade game with the same mechanic, but it'll be hard to find the name.

Ah, here we go. Stunt Cycle by Atari. Not an exact clone, but certainly an 'inspired by'.
