I have just realised the existance of a demo version of this excellent Mario Bros game.Not the Mario 97' Demoversion but the Mario Islands DemoVersion

    Thats just too bad, that they couldnt finish the game. But there is also my guilt: I couldn't finish all of the in-game graphics... Anyway, try to contact them, may be they will agree to finish it..

    There is a "Open Source for Spectrum" website with a lot of Assembly sources of unfinished games like Awaken and other. I'm not very good in assembly (at least not on the russian level), but how about checking the downloads? http://opensourcezx.narod.ru/index.htm
