Xbox Live Hacked

edited May 2013 in Chit chat
Most of you have probably already heard, but just in case you haven't, or you haven't done it yet, it's probably best to get your password changed asap.

(The hacker, not you Vamp )

EDIT: Erm, so I've just been over there to change my password, and I've noticed I now have 960 MS Points?! I should only have 400 left in there at the mo... ? Eh?!

Did that thing say that the database hacked was from when XboxLive was launched or 2009? I was forced to change mine about 6 weeks ago, but I guess I'll change it again when I get home (if I can rember what I changed it too  )

If any of you have signed up for the Rewards thingy and played more than 20 hours of Arcade games in april you'd have got 800 points free. Mine just went on yesterday.
Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.

It wasn't hacked. Any reports that it was are fake apparently.

does this affect my dragon 32 / oric atmos ?

it's a prime thing to hack for phishers as some gamers would rather spend money on games than eat.

this is the "wonderful" aspect of paying for everything gaming and extra's... which I think they are wrong to fleece folk for.

Sorry for scaremongering, guys. But it doesn't hurt to update your passwords regularly though ;-)

Ah, that'd be my play time on Far Cry: Blood Dragon then. Wasn't aware of that, thanks Vincent.

They're doing something new called punchcards. This month has something to do with movie/tv purchases.

Last month's was better. I might have been wrong though, I think if you bought 4 seperate arcade games (400 points or more) you got 800 points, If you spent 20 hours playing arcade games you got 1 month gold and there was something else for an avatar prop.

Check the email account you've got connected to your profile, they send out codes for the 1 month gold and avatar thing.

Oh and there's a 1% marketplace rebate every month if your achievements are over 10,000 points, 2% for 25,000. Crap really, but it's still free points and if you're perma-skint like me it's handy :D
