The original email from their Commercial Director (linked in post 2) dates back to 1999 - I wonder if their position (and indeed, their Commercial Director) has changed within the last 14 years?
No, Anthony Price resigned on 25th June 2003. I think it was a big falling out over the whole distribution thing. He wanted to play Dizzy on his spectrum, but didn't own a copy, predictably a certain Mr Darling said NO!
That's possible not entirely correct, however it may be fesible
According to Wikipedia, David Darling apparently sold up his interest in Codemasters back in 2007, and some Indian company bought 50% of the company in 2010. So a fair bit has changed since then, although not sure if all that makes it more or less likely that distribution would be granted if the question was posed now.

I doubt they would be.. as they were probably bought for their IP content partly as well..
I do have a advanced pinball here spare.. not sure what other pinball games they did besides soccer pinball .. it was made by the oliver twins
As much as I enjoyed Pinball Dreams / Fantasies / Illusions on the Amiga, Slam Tilt was my favourite.
Right with you on those choices. Currently playing Pinball FX2 atm.
Cor blimey. I'd forgotten all about Advanced Pinball Simulator. Seeing as it's distribution is denied, I'll just have to reminisce with a Youtube video. ;)
D'you know, I don't think I ever bought any of those simulators, or anything by Code Masters at all, except the first couple of Dizzy games and Rock Star Ate My Hamster, so I've never had the pleasure of playing Advanced Super Tiddlywinks Simulator etc.
Firebird and Players were my budget software houses of choice at the time, even though some of their games were a bit dodgy to say the least :)

Really? codemasters made some quality games imo, would rank them in the top 5 software speccy software houses easily
Didaktik M, if you give me your e-mail, I can send file for you ;) slider_bis@mail.ru
I have the file. I wanted to share it but thanx. I am archiving all my cassetes with my brother through TAPE FILE COPY on MINI Disc Media. Later i must figure out how to make .tzx and .tap files from them.

edit - I'm too slow...
Aww what a shame
and besides we all already have it
It's the only pinball game on the spectrum to my knowledge?
It was fun at the time but then Pinball Dreams/Fantasies on the Amiga came along.

The original Dizzy was released 26 years ago - time for them to let it go, surely? Of course, it's up to them though....

That one was a charming CGC 2011 entry by Ben Rapier.

I don't know about that but they're definitely under appreciated. It wasn't all Dizzy clones. Although it was mostly!
like more, I think they did the trick of .. do 1 version very well and the others "so so" compared.
feud by bulldog / kikstart 2 by mastertronic being the obvious examples :)
