What a thing of beauty. Would be all over it if I lived on the UK. And good choice of soundtrack for the video. Can't ever go wrong with Wendy Carlos. :-)

You should have worn your "Scottie_uk's Infamous Golden Suit Of Wonderment" during that presentation of your Machine.

BTW Is The Suit going up on ebay?

Suit was given to the "WoS Museum of Endearing Character's Paraphernilia - Department of WoS Memes" years ago.

    T,ftfy.

It's looks spiffingly, on display right between a certain colander and a slightly torn/soiled calendar of WoS wags.

on the plus side.. when you get to the states.. you'll be able to get an x-arcade stick :) or a full cabinet.. I have one, and I bet they are far cheaper over there

I've never liked the XArcade Stick, it has an air of DIY OTT but ugly arcade machine about it.

nah it's decent / well enough built.. considering the price I paid for it , it should be.. sadly if I had waited I'd have got a better deal elsewhere.

I own 7 arcade cabs and have recently considered getting rid of a few of them, they fit in my 1 bedroom flat alright it is just moving them around to get the backs off and all that Sh*te as some of them are dedicated cabs lol.The multi-game boards like your 48 in 1 will interest some people but repel others as you loose 48 games if it develops a fault but on the other hand i own 60 individual boards which fill up 3 crates using up even more storage space.
It is not a bad cab mate and the price is interesting so i personally wish you best of luck with your sale.

was you wasn't it ? ;) decent enough price, it's one of them things that isn't too easy to ship / takes up space.. which is more the issue.

I'm rather miffed someone off here snipe bid me on something else, then didn't want ALL the bundle of items.. and I get re-offered the "dregs" of the bundle..yet the seller wouldn't adjust the postage for me BUT would them being abroad, changing the goalposts some what. They should sell ALL or nothing, they want the bundle.. let them pay the massive postage for it as well.

Yep, was me alright. But have no need for the innards so I ripped it out, and left that gunk in Scottie's bin. Just needed the cabinet for a fishtank icon14.gif

i wasted time (and a small bit of money) on that BS because she was so lazy never to reply to emails OR at least leave them with a neighbour.

$150 for the X-arcade stick...$99 if you are lucky to find one at that price. I've been thinking about getting one for years but then being cheap don't want to pay that.

my friend was the same.. moaning about paying out for a joystick..then he came around and used it here.. soon shut up and wanted one.. but couldn't find em anywhere

if you like your arcade games, don't have the room or money for an actual machine then it's a good compromise.. they are well built also.

I would say however it works far better on pc mame than it does on other things.. although that might be the convertor thing.. I should get a new one at some point.

I use a PS1 arcade stick with a usb adapter for MAME, works well, and only cost about a tenner on ebay.
  • edited June 2013
I'm just building a coffee table Mame setup for somebody and a full set of buttons, joystick and associated bits came to ?15. Considering that is all an X-Arcade is in a box then either there is a lot of profit in these units or the software development costs must be very high.
