Holiday pictures

edited July 2013 in Chit chat
As I am always posting technical posts, I decided to do something completely different this time. A few pictures of our last holiday a few weeks ago. We visited one of the national parks in South Africa, namely the Addo Elephant park and the following pictures is a few that we took there.

    Hi Alessandro

It is actually my wife's camera. I stopped with photos the day that the old 35mm slide era died. I used to develop them also years ago. I gave away all my cameras and lenses a few years ago to student. It ranged from Canon EOS film cameras and a few Pentax film cameras. After that I started with video and under water pictures. My wife's latest camera (already two years old I must admit) is a CANON EOS600D with a range of optical stabilised lenses ranging from wide angle to a 150-500. Most of the bird pictures was taken with the 150-500 lens. The size of the pictures however is huge, up to 12MB each, so I had to resize by quite a margin for the website. Some of the pictures was taken by myself, depending who is sitting on which side of the vehicle and who has the best view or angle. My next planned trip will be next year June to the Kruger National Park. I try to go there (Kruger) at least once a year, but the distance that your cover from Cape Town to Kruger and back is about 5000 Km and the fuel prices are killing it.

Here is a few underwater pictures that I took in Mauritius
