Sin and Punishment (N64) has been translated into English!

Sin and Punishment (mainly known by it's Japanese title of Tsumi to Batsu) now has an unofficial fan translation, so you can play it on your N64 in English (you need a backup device to play it, of course).

The game, which was voted the best shooter ever by Retro Gamer magazine, was an N64 exclusive that was never released outside of Japan in the N64 years, though later it was made available (in English) for the VC downloads on the Wii. But now you can play it on the N64 in English, which is fantastic news. For details see;

www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?47187-Sin-and-Punishment-and-other-jap-only-titels-translation

BTW, I had a bit of trouble applying the patch - neither the version of the game rom I already had, nor the next three I downloaded, would accept the patch, it was the fourth download (all from different sites, and none of the downloads were corrupt) that worked, so to save yourself some trouble, if you want the working English version, pm me your e-mail adress.

NB. You can play this on an N64 emulator too, but there is already an emulator only translation of the game at;

I've not tried this myself (I don't tend to use N64 emulators, as they are less than perfect at the moment), so I don't know how this compares to the new translation.

    Er, you aren't excluded from my "pm me your e-mail address and I'll send you the patched version" offer, you know ;) Then you just put the file onto your backup device (or load it into your N64 emulator*) and then you can find out if the game is really as good as everyone says.

    * Well, you might need to set a couple of options in an emulator, I don't know.

    The English voices on this sound like actual voice actors.

    Well.....actual voice actors for video games anyway :D
