Been busy today.... Protesting!
Today I went to Amsterdam to protest against the government.
Here I am when someone took a photo of the political leader of the dutch socialist party. I was just beside him ( we arrived together and the moment he was recognized he became public domain).

Assuming you were protesting him/his points of view/whatever related to him ... ah, whatever! (Oh, wait, you were there with him as a friend/co-worker, or you arrived there at the same time?)
EDIT:
Oh, noes! I can't believe people actually showed up with those annoying, long, blaring devices. What ever happened to throngs of people chanting out their grievances via witty and people-unifying sloganeering???
You should have gone to somewhere other than h & m
Some food and drinks in a small bag. I travel light!:p
Yep, that's me!
Emile comes from the same village and went by bus organized by the party.
I am asked to get on the electionlist for next years local elections.
Current Dutch government has more or less lost support from the majority of the population, they're 'riding out their term' and pushing through one unpopular measure after another (as far as they can, that is). Granted, economic times are tough and painful cuts are needed, but as so often it's mostly people who already have it difficult (chronically ill people, 65+ who worked hard for their pension and have no option to take their money elsewhere @ this point, etc), that are taken to the cleaners.
Politician in the pic is Emile Roemer from the SP, which currently is the largest opposition party. So even if you're not voting for him, as a Dutch citizen that is one politician you *can* be seen with... :D
Now why doesn't this remark surprises me?
Oh I see, it's Mel's!
Yes, I am or not!
:razz::razz:
I am indeed since a few weeks member of the party, but that is because my previous function couldn't combine with (local) politics.
well
rubberkeys and miles aint posted....sooooooo
anyway there was a protest in my hometown too today

EDL protesting about a future none existant mosque cos it was cancelled lol, they instead decided to protest about all mosques
bunch of drunken racist idiots
He's right you know!
And that girl on the right has a nice looking rack!
the edl did that in york, and they got invited in for tea and buscuits. :D
?800k on them idiots. protests in London also cost a lot also, by folk who normally aren't paying in anyway.. they should foot the bill for it as well. I get tired of hearing "we have no money" , but it's p****d away on that lot. Half of them are only doing it as they got priced out of doing it on the football terraces.
dr beep, did you get any nice cakes from the coffee shop ? . I did find holland an interesting country, hopefully I will go back again next year.
Say, what's that movie poster for in the background? Looks like Michael Jackson or some sort of a Sci Fi.
BTW No, I don't recall this particular episode so I con't remember if the poster is real or just made up for the show.
it was a film for the show they were supposed to condemn
the film poster is probably made up.. they did the IT crowd also , and that contained a lot of hidden stuff in the background.. speaking of which the very last one every is next week :(
They look like chavs :D
On my first glance I thought that was Nick Griffin :-o
id still bum em
haha
I thought that also... but don't give him any publicity..
an ex of mine lived near their hq in welling, I found it ironic she knew due to the sort griffen and his "pals" wanted to kick out, even though she was born here.
I was hoping more Dr Beep would say "oh thats my wife or daughter etc" and see what the reaction was... a friend did that about someone pretty.. and the other friend said YES that's my 18 year old niece (as his older sister is a lot older)
Wow! A politician who uses public transport? That would *never* happen in Britain, unless it was a publicity stunt.
I wish our politicians were forced to use only public transport, though, as they'd soon improve it then. I also wish the politician's were only allowed to use NHS healthcare, were subject to the same laws as us, and had to answer properly for their actions, so I'm obviously living on a different planet...
You'd have to wait till i'd finished with them!
