But it's not good business. 5 games is nothing. Man United are 8th after 5 games. They certainly won't be at the end of the season.

From what I have seen the De Canio sacking is nothing to do with poor results after "just 5 games". Apparently, allegedly, he called the players in this morning and then just shouted at them. The players then told him what they thought of him with more than one saying they wouldn't play while he was still in charge. (Allegedly, verbally requesting transfers). All this got back to the chairman who headed off a total player revolt by sacking the manager.

If half the stories are true then he does sound like a difficult person to work for and he seems to have managed to get 100% agreement of his players that they hate him.

never set foot in a betting shop in my life but I'm seriously tempted to put something on moyes being gone from utd before the end of the season.I was before today's result as well.. odds probably aren't even that much

so you think It's a good bet I go into the betting shop and ask for errr chris moyles for manager ? thanks for the tip ;)

I remember the graham taylor thing in the locker room .. was him ? swearing like it was going outta fashion.. and I'm sure more like fergie etc had / have a few choice words to players over the years. players do need that brutal type of manager.. look how many are silly / go off the rails.. e.g. idiots who light fireworks in their house for "fun".

ultimately it's about the board and shareholders..

wasn't Jon Woods from ocean involved with err Everton ? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jon_Woods_%28programmer%29

I do feel sad for supporters as football, it's their drug of choice pretty much.. and they are getting fleeced regardless.

If you think that's expensive you should go to Wembley!

    Yup. It's total bollox.

One of the few industries where you can still get rewarded for being poor at your job, this being an excellent case in point.

Yawn, soccer needs a revamp/ shake up. What about Soccer 2.0. I might watch it then.

Yup. The next game after those was against Man U where we were jokingly gonna get SAF the sack if we beat 'em :-)
