So, according to recents reports it looks like Valve actually do really intend to release another Half Life game at some point. They've just trademarked the HL3 name and a leak appears to have disclosed actual real humans being paid to work on it.

Anyway, this meme may soon may no longer be relevant... but don't hold your breath! :p

    You'd think they'd have trademarked the name long ago, to stop anyone else releasing an unrelated game that they (a hypothetical third party software house who wanted to cash in on the popularity of the franchise) called "Half-Life 3".

    You can't polish a turd so why would a third party company put the effort in to make an unofficial sequel when the developers of the original series are quite capable of releasing more massive steaming sh*ts of their own?

    ....Just sayin'? :D
