Read the comments below this and you'll realise quite how many people perceive our world as some kind of 1984 esque dystopia. Many seemed convinced the police are only there to generate revenue for some hidden hands and that Google is owned by the FBI. Some even seem to get congratulated for making such comments.

This is one of the scary things about the internet, the paranoia of a few can spread to the misinformed, disaffected or delusional and becomes distilled as facts or at least evidence.

It's almost if on a subconscious level people enjoy living this life of this fictitious 'them and us' fantasy.

Some people think that simple refraction in the spray from their garden sprinklers in the sunlight is the mind control drugs in the water supply becoming visible to the human eye

These guys are as ridiculously mis-informed in law as the homeopathic medicine or young-earth creationists are in science. Ignorant idiots pretending they know better than those who know the stuff for a living and actually use their expertise to help others. Please don't anyone get sucked into this without checking out the counter-arguments you'll easily find.

There are points of law that can be debated, such as the assumed contract that leads to private parking fines (though they can still end up with a court deciding you owe a debt), or the Met. harassing perfectly legal photography and filming (under badly drafted and sweeping 'anti-terror' powers), but trying to claim the police and courts have no authority over you because you choose to sign your surname without capital letters or some such nonsense will not get you off genuine crimes and motoring offences, and no genuinely qualified lawyer will back you up.

What I always love about these things is how unbelievably shallow their arguments run. For example he happily quotes the dictionary definition of driving, but has completely failed to follow it through by actually looking up the word "employed" - which doesn't mean what he appears to think it does.

I agree with all the comments but i just looked at it as a laugh.

he did get a fine for using his mobile while driving, something i dont understand as his girlfriend was the passenger, why didnt she use it or answer it?

you would not get away with this in Germany and i must admire the 'constable' for his restraint.
