Listen to Spectrum Game Music Directly In Your Web Browser

edited December 2013 in Games
I found this forum a few weeks ago when a user linked to my site. I run a little site called Game Music Appreciation. The pitch is simple-- allow users to listen to a wide variety of video game music directly through their [Chrome] web browsers with a minimum of friction.

After I saw this forum, I decided to incorporate a collection of ZX Spectrum game music files into the site. There are 650+ games represented right now. (I also added a meager collection of 20 game music files from the related Amstrad CPC computer.)

As mentioned above, the site does require Google Chrome-- it's based on a technology Google developed named Native Client (NaCl). But my goal was to make it as simple and painless for users to experience this music.

Unfortunately, I broke the site's search engine while introducing this feature but I hope to have it fixed soon. Meanwhile, I hope the lists linked above will suffice (and there are also "Random Spectrum/Amstrad song" links available from the top menu).

Enjoy! Feedback welcome.
