New RZX files: Blue Max and BMX Racers

edited February 2014 in Games
Hi there, I am a long-time submitter to the RZX archive and have just submitted another two game walk-throughs: Blue Max and BMX Racers.

Blue Max was one game I'd been meaning to submit for a while now. I must admit that it took me a few goes to work out how to get to the end level and to remember what all the console colours and letters meant - but the tactics of bombing as much as possible while looking out for the flashing boats or tanks seemed to have paid off as eventually, after repeated landing and re-fueling the large red buildings of the final level rolled in to view!

BMX Racers on the Spectrum was a really disappointing game compared to other versions and didn't appear to have an ending or much variety to the game play. I did notice however a reference to Oasis White Lightning in the game code - I'm not too familiar with this product but assume it was used to help code the game. I wonder how many other games were written with the White Lightning software?

not much probably, it wasn't the best lib out there.. some of the ocean "laser" coding things are based on oasis's stuff.

another mastertronic game has the Wye compiler still in the code (alien kill IRC)
