Hey! Really good new interpretation of the music themes, gfx is colourful, gameplay is quite hard :D It's faster than the first nes episode, intro is awesome. Also dialogues and story is intriguing.
It's a brand new episode of Castlevania's stories. I noticed that the stairs-climbing-engine is better than most of all the other versions... From nes to snes!!! AHAHAHA, better than original!!!
I wanna finish it .. but it's hard!
THANKS A LOT!
What a great game! Really worth all the waiting since the demo was released :o
After playing all the weekend there are two endings, but looks like that it's the first time the "bad ending" is the one that needs 100%. Also, in Hard Mode you have a bit more end dialogs (in both endings) than in Normal Mode. Anyway, thanks to Sanchez&team for this great masterpiece :-)
Yes, it's quite unusual that you get good ending by default and really must try hard to get the bad one. Just the opposite like in real life I guess.
By the way, it is possible to collect enough money to obtain the best weapon by buying?
I found eight metal plates, so I upgraded the whip eight times until I have a whip with a chain and an arrow at the tip with a very fast ratio of fire. Anyway it's not the Vampire Killer.
I believe that after last but one boss, monsters start to give more money when defeated. So instead of going to Dracula you should start wondering around the world and earning money. I wasn't patient enough to do it so I'm interested if anybody tried.
So, are you saying that it's possible to buy the Vampire Killer? Where? I only can get it if I activate all altars before Dracula and it's not bought, but "given".

As a game translator I have an access to game texts so maybe I'll answer you with a quote :)
[Richter] And Vampire Killer wasn't created for showing off but only for fighting against Dracula. So you don't need it now.
[Belmont] What can I do to make you entrust our family relic to your son, father?
[Richter] Nothing special. You just need to have a lot of patience and wait until your old man surrenders to death.
[Belmont] And the other option?
[Richter] This damned weapon is not a toy and should be used only in extreme necessity! What can make me forget about it and just give it to you? I don?t know? Maybe if a heavy bag with ten thousand gold coins hits my head? Or if chickens learn to fly on flying carpets? Yes, something like this could change things, I guess.
[Belmont] I forgot about your famous sarcasm. Well, I guess this discussion is over.
Yes as I said I didn't try to collect the money myself.
So Ritcher wasn't toying at all! :D Okay, last savegame I have about 5500 coins or so; I'll give it a try and see if it's true. Thanks for the tip
Cheers
Edit: You are right: once you get 10000 coins you can buy it from Richter, so good ending with the Vampire Killer is possible.
I'm lacking 3 pieces from the last altar, I mean, I can finish the game and everything but I'm unable to find the last 3 white pieces nor a white altar to use them, at least I think it's white, I'm color blind.

Can anyone give me some directions? Thanks.
First buy the complete map to Alina in the town. It really helps telling you where you haven't been (look for the arrows)
For instance, in the cemetery there is a screen with a tombstone in the middle of the screen; stand in that tombstone and go down (press duck button twice) Usually, the white altars are in these kind of hidden rooms.
Hats off to all those involved in the project. After the great Survivisection I had high expectations from this and I am not disappointed. Quite the opposite in fact :)
Back in the day, this would have been worth the ?9.99 (or 18,000 LIT here) price tag. Great job indeed.

Thanks a lot Sir, I had seen such arrows but I had no clue how to proceed to where they were pointed, well, back to Transylvania it is.
Gotta pay my respect to the team that put this together - its well crafted, the presentation is atmospheric, the graphics do it justice and the music is wonderfully rendered (That Intro really sets the tone!)... VERY nice... You know at this rate, we Speccy gamers are getting well spoilt!!!!... The bar is being pushed way high now!!!!!...
Wow, it took 2 weeks until I got an e-mail from the forum that there are new posts in this thread and the game finally was released! I covered it also on my Youtube channel now:

It is not a detailed review, I just wanted to get the message out. What a great homebrew project!
