BLUBER - The Last Odisey

edited December 2014 in Brand new software
BLUBER - The Last Odisey by Monty Designs.

You need to collect 20 blue bubbles with a potion. For access to the last screen, it is necessary to find a skull which lies in catacombs. Enemies can be killed having jumped on them.

    A pity.

I found all 20 blue bottles and nothing happened.

    Ah well.

PS: Also, the engine has serious troubles with reaction on "fire" key.

I think he's still working on his games to fix this kind of problems, for example in genhetik in order to complete the game you had to step onto the left-most bottom pot even though you've already got its item before, btw this superb song might fit very well that game

I really hope this is indeed the 'last odisey' (sic) as these games are all the same.

Quite harsh and unnecesary criticism. Maybe the games are quite similar to each other, but these are his first games and maybe he is learning. Besides a good and constructive criticism would be suggesting changes, etc.

Havent you thought that this is maybe the only way for some people who have no idea of coding to do something in the Spectrum?

If you dont like them, just ignore them or be constructive ;)

    what you produced lately?

I know very little about using the software only playing the final product but I believe It will not be long before people are even more creative with the engine, they will sit down look at the features and think 'in what other way could i use this function/feature?'. It happened with the JSW/MM engine and my personal opinion is that creativity will come and before you know it games will arrive that create new ground.

I've finished this one on first go. It is good training for some older Currera based games that were too hard for me to keep me interested in.

You are quite right, it was a bit harsh, and I apologise to the author.
I played and enjoyed the first game, Androide, which was short and very easy, but a nice distraction.
I am simply saying that the game play is repetitive once you've played one, as they seem to be a simple switch of graphics and maps.
However, I do have many thanks to give to Monty, and indeed any of the guys releasing new games, for providing these fantastic distractions.

A fair, if harsh comment. I am actually working on something myself, but it's slow progress due to my limited free time.

On screen four there is a moving left-right platform above some dangerous material,if you are being hurt by the material and head left back to screen three it is fine but if you are on the moving platform and step off to the left (higher) and exit the screen that way you appear on the opposite side of the same screen four crushing the baddie which resided over there instead of appearing on the right of screen three.
I have had this since original release and not sure if this is present in the current download.

Revamped version with new graphics and platforms design.
Download it here along with the other Pixelsoftware's games from 2014.
