    It appears that A LOT of guys are extremely prone to skipping the tutorial, so lemmie leave a quick control note to you in case if you won't be using Kempston Mouse (and I'm sure you won't be, anyway).

    So, you ought to use...

    - QAOPM to control the cursor;
    - Space to pause (you can still build and upgrade stuff while the game's paused);
    - 1,2,3,4 to select a tower to build - also works for setting the tower on the game field;
    - M to select the existing tower and 1 to upgrade it near-instantly.

    Hope you'll have fun with that one!

    I'm playing with the pc version provided in the retrogamesbattle thread that allows the use of mouse, so I'm trying to grasp how the game works, please correct me if i'm wrong :

    - press 1 to activate the possibility of placing towers,
    - then move the mouse or opq ( what is the key 'm' for ? ) to highlight the desired position and,
    - press keys 1,2,3 or 4 meaning the type of tower, I guess the only available type in the first levels is 1
    - how can i upgrade a tower? what do you buy when upgrading, higher rate of fire ? perhaps you deal more damage?
    - how can i sell a tower ?
    - which is the turbo-speed key to see the waves run faster ?
    - how do towers work, i mean they don't seem to have a fixed rate of fire, sometimes they let the enemy pass even though that particular tower had not opened fire for a while.
    - what's the amount of dollars displayed in red when a tower is selected with the mouse?

    - press 1 to activate the possibility of placing towers,
    1-4 for select available towers, or click on desired tower

    - then move the mouse or opq ( what is the key 'm' for ? ) to highlight the desired position and,
    yes!

    yes! press m or click, and tower will be placed ;) for first level available only first tower

    - how can i upgrade a tower? what do you buy when upgrading, higher rate of fire ? perhaps you deal more damage?
    use mouse or "opqa" to desired tower and press M (click) to select it, then press any from 1-4 keys to upgrade (or select one tower upgrade from bottom)

    - how can i sell a tower ?
    no way.

    - which is the turbo-speed key to see the waves run faster ?
    turbo mean 7/14 Mgz of z80. in game you dont have speedup button

    - how do towers work, i mean they don't seem to have a fixed rate of fire, sometimes they let the enemy pass even though that particular tower had not opened fire for a while.
    any tower have a different rate and power of fire.
    low rate - and creep go on. rate of fire dont show in game, only visual

    - what's the amount of dollars displayed in red when a tower is selected with the mouse?

    if right dollars becomes red where you buy or upgrade tower - you dont have enough money for it

    You may use kempston mouse for playing

    For all ye curious, the rejected title screen for Captain Drexx - but the possible one if you really want it for the physical release!

    ...against VBI's will, of course. :D

    Great work VBI..! I'm enjoying this game a lot.

    I must admit - when I first saw the development of this tower defence game and a few screenshots, I wasn't sure how well it would turn out as I quite like this sort of game. But it's really got an authentic feel to it. I didn't know about the tutorial, but it seems to be quite easy to get started and it becomes fairly addictive.

    It's a bit more difficult than I thought it would be - I thought I was doing quite well but am now stuck on level 2.. I can't quite work out the best combination of towers to stop the enemies when they start swarming towards the end of the pathway..

    Thanks! we'll see if I got any response from other people who like this genre.
    There is something that escapes me, look at this rzx video :

    the left tower does not stop shooting while the right one is not reliable and let enemies pass :???:

    I could not see the replay, but I can say that the left tower stands at a convenient location
    tower next to each other shooting speed
    the game has its own character :)

    Now I can feel the challenge! I think you can make avi videos with EmuZWin.
    I assume every tower has a highlight pattern (number and shape of highlighted tiles), it'd be interesting if you could give stats of towers and enemies.
    it strikes me as rather odd that the same type of enemy seems to get stronger when starting a new wave

    Very playable game. it's fast enough to play on speccy, simplified design but at first levels I was a little bit confused about upgrades. Overall, very good game.

    sorry for late feedback.
