Someone needs to tell them about loudness. The mastering terrible, almost smoked my nice Grado headphones, not to mention my ear drums.
The recording is tooo loud and over saturated, it all distorts even at low volumes.
This is more my thing.
I was listening to that only the other day! Great tune.
In the late 80's I was into Acid and had a couple of CD's namely Urban Acid and Acido Amigo. So I'm going to go and find them, stick 'em in iTunes and stick 'em on me phone.
It's not bad actually. Like Scottie says though, it needs mixing, and it perhaps sounds a little too much like it's been made with bundled samples for my liking, but then most techno sounds like that to me these days anyway. ;)

Guilty as charged but I can explain. The initial software I used came in a box containing a bot of cardboard and NO manual. You'd think that they'd have the decency to provide a manual if they're going to charge twenty five quid and especially if they get professional musicians tp provide the sound samples.
Apprently the neighbours were complaining about the noise as well.

Aciiiiiid :-)
I have both those. Acido Amigo on Vinyl and the other on Tape. Both excllent Albums I love S.O.L.T on the Urban Acid collection, and the one that I always beleived was Margret Thatcher samples, can't remember the name of it now.. posibly 'Perfectly Ordinary People'.

I'm soo glad I live in the woods, in a detached house with a basement. I can't even wake my own kid up let alone anyone else. Music as loud as I like any time of the day or night.
Sometimes I still have that knee jerk thought of 'ohh it's getting loud the neightboards' but the realisation that they live some 500 meters away and I'm like ahhhh... lets turn it up a little more.

I might buy a drum kit just for the hell of it.
classic movie setting  , normally the scary sort :o
I'd not even bother with a real kit if I drummed, too much hassle now.. I do have drum kits , but virtually. amongst other things.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dIOK6XQJhDI
very old, but the sample quality is good :) .. I do use breaks etc.. because only a drummer can get the "feel" more human.

Actually you are probably better off with the electronic kind as you can add, reverb etc to get the true live sound. I have an early 2000's Yamaha drum pad with 6 sensors on and two pedals (bass and high hat). I brought it over from britain 1) because my son loves it and it's better than any kids toy (and more robust), 2) it's better than any stress you I know, it's really nice to give it a good whacking at the end of stressfull day.
