Agree. However, what amazes me most is how people *actually* believe real bombs *beep* as shown in Hollywood movies. It's basically the same as believing in red/blue wire stuff. Jeez.

I'd freak out too, however I'd realize if someone actually wanted to kill me with a package, they'd do it without beeping. What's the point of using beeps and flashing LEDs? To drain the battery? :)
I remember one of major AA battery manufacturers had this PR campaign when they put a block of batteries and some PCB on a sheet of plastic and that was used as advertisement around the city? People got terrified and called the police because they thought it were a bomb.

That's nothing, when I was back at Uni they once cleared out the entire bar and all the offices above it because a drama student left a prop in the pub. It consisted of four cardboard tube painted red, with an old clock and some twisty wires attached. And obviously had the word BOMB written on it in inch high white letters.
Obviously there is the whole "better safe than sorry" thing, but you do have to wonder some times!
There was the army recruiting centre that had the bomb guys explode a suspicious package which turned out to be a box of leaflets giving instructions on how to deal with suspicious packages. :D

In the UK all that's changed in recent times is that it's pissed off Middle Easterners instead of pissed off Irish. The response to a suspicious package full of electronics is much the same as it's always been.
I was watching something on YouTube related to that game today, but what made me laugh was one girl's comment after watching the video. She was wondering why there were no dogs in the park...
I used to work for an ISP may moons ago and they did a marketing campaign about 'Time is Money' when xDSL was just being rolled out. The brilliant idea was to send IT Managers and CTO's a free clocks and a load of bumf about how a faster xDSL link can speed up things blah blah blah.
The big problem was that the packages were sent out in a jiffy bag so basically we were sending out ticking jiffy bags to CTO's in Canary Wharf!!!! Rather unsurprisingly the first package to get delivered caused one of the major offices to be closed down and the bomb squad called in. :-)
