I have a navigation system that is from 2010. All maps are also from this year. Do you think I can use such 4 years old maps to guide me at my tour. Or is there much change since 2010. The installed maps may be some months or years older, I don't know how fast TOMTOM actualizes his maps.

Hmmm...they did a major set of road works sort of between Glasgow and Stirling c2010-2011'ish I think. I think they upgraded the M80...I could be wrong here, but I remember going up to Perth May 2010 and there was restrictions and roadworks along that stretch of road. But it might be worth getting a decent up to date map if you plan on going between them 2 places. Maybe some of our Scots wossers can put me right on that one...?

I wouldn't worry too much though, you'll have plenty of time to react to any road alterations due to large section of the British Highways being controlled by cones and 40-50mph restrictions! :)

Isn't one half Scottish and the other half English?

Negative. The border pretty much follows the River Tweed, but it veers off in a c3mile loop over the top of Berwick.

...I believe Doncaster is still owned by Scotland though.

    EDIT: Sorry for the DP.

As far as i know Doncaster has always been England. How did we end up with it? Did we invade it or something?

Save regularly, especially before going into pubs/chip shops or speaking

I went into Glasgow on Friday as it was really nice day and it seemed like the whole of the UK was there as everywhere was heaving. Every pub i tried to go into for a quick pint was packed out. I eventually came home because it was simply far too busy but there was a certain buzz around the place, there was loads of buskers and street artists.
