    Yes, yes, open it, slowly.

Did you get through the kickstarter?

I just backed the spectrum / ocean double book deal so mine should be turning up soon.

I received mine end of last year, so my interest has waned since then. It might be the same with others here. :-D

Having said that, I quite enjoyed it. Sure hope that the "The Story of the ZX Spectrum in pixels" book, also by Chris Wilkins, will be at least as interesting as this one when released January 2015.

Just started reading it, foreword was by Gary Bracey, it also features an interview with Jon Woods, amongst others.
Got it from Amazon where a 'sequel' was mentioned, the history of US Gold!

    Did the Butler do it?

I reckon he did it because he was the secret child of the young Master with the Chambermaid.

I reckon The Lady sent her away as soon as the baby was born and the young Master was sent off to the trenches to fight in the Great War.

    I'm right aren't I?

I've not bought this, as it just didn't pique my interest in the same way the Hewson one did. Largely because, rightly or wrongly, I always viewed Ocean as the EA of their day: endless tie-ins, conversions and sequels. Some good stuff as well, granted, but very much quantity over quality, and who cared if it wasn't up to much? The stupid little kids would buy it anyway, wouldn't they?

I've read interviews with certain people at Ocean and the person in particular that I'm thinking of always seemed to be purely about money, and nothing else. I formed this opinion way back when I was only 12, but what I've read in later years just seems to confirm it.

Well, they did make some great titles but yeah they did seem to become 'samey' around the time of Red Heat or The Untouchables (probably 1989ish) Movie licences were the big in thing at the time and original titles fell out of favour, at Ocean at least.

I recognise Jim Bagley on the end, but who are the others?

    Oh its in the description:
Paul Owens, Matthew Cannon, Phil Trelford, Mark Jones, Simon Butler and Jim Bagley.
Keith Chegwin interviewed me while I was working on The Vindicator and that was really embarrassing as well. I still have it on video but very rarely show it to people as I HAVE to leave the room when it's on. I was quite spotty and sport a lovely 80's spiked haircut as well as some lovely 80's glasses! (Yuch!) I've got a good 'behind the scenes' video of the shooting of it as well which is quite entertaining.
    YO where's the video?!?!?
