tv tuning retuning messages..

so they want me to retune from the 3rd of sept.. I have to put up with that f'ing message for 3 weeks. I don't mind retuning but these reminder messages have got annoying over the years.

put it on the tv on the 1st or 2nd of sept.. not THREE weeks earlier..

    If your box or TV has an option in the settings to turn off all digital overlays then select it. You will miss out on the subtitles and using the red button/Ceefax on the BBC, but it will get rid of the message and that poxy Press Red button that appears on the News or when a program is about to end and they want to inform you that Kean, Elbow or Doctor Who is about to start on another channel. Not all boxes/TVs have the option though.

    Yes, it is a pain having those messages appearing everytime you select a new channel, but they should really only appear between programmes.
