Sorry, no idea, but for a game that sounds similar, you should try Wheelie on the Spectrum. Not my kind of game, but it was very popular with my mates, so it might be very enjoyable still.
damn was gonna check on mi mame but it wont work lol
first time ive tried it on this puter, other one mustve been 64bit, this is 32 bit so it wont work :(
phew
after messing with unsatisfactory GUIs ive just found my original download files and theres still a 32bit version, just tried that and it works :) still remembered my favourites too and so prolly my psone pad controls :)
Professional Mel-the-Bell Simulator................"So realistic, I found myself reaching for the Kleenex King-Size!" - Richard Darling
It had largish sprites so there was only one level, not 3 like in stunt cycle. You also had to speed up and down to make the jumps. I've looked on MAME but don't recognise it. Damn.
Only had a quick go, but it seems to fit the description :-)
that I recall playing in my local chippy.. gotta check 100% though. I bought wheelie thinking it was a simular game, but the bike game I played the buses looked different IRC. I don't recall the track thing on screen also.
I have an arcade machine I couldn't remember the name of all.
you basically lasso'd cows etc and it was a cowboy game, again in the same chippy. I remember it being a green grass background.

I only ever remember playing this once (mid-80's),and it was a beat-em-up of sorts where your character had to fight off enemies with a stick/sword/cane (I kind of remember it looking like one of those comedy 'hooks' where someone gets dragged off stage). You could move between floors using an elevator - it's definitely NOT Elevator Action before anyone suggests that ;) Graphics were cartoonish.
sorry I don't think it is now I re-read you description, kind of feel like the guy on a quiz show who jumps the buzzer before hearing the whole question :)

Grasping a bit with this one, but..
Kicker / Shao-Lin's Road
In Yie-Ar Kung Fu you had to fight a variety of people with different weapons (no elevators though)
Definitely not Kung Fu Master - which I used to play loads. The only time that I played this game is when the fair came to town and they didn't have KFM in the arcade.
It's not Shao-Lin's Road or Yie-Ar Kung Fu either. Ninja Kids is too late - the game in question would have been right in the middle of the 80's as I remember - '85 or '86 I think.
Any other suggestions? Other things I remember - I think the main player character was dressed in white and the enemies were in black...
I tried that AGES ago, but nah it's not that.. I remember vividly it had a green background for the grass. that n the wheelie / super bike game bug me to what they were called :)

Someone suggested "The Ninja Kids" (1990)

...but none of the rest of it sounds anything like it! :)

Yeah this kind of thing, but the sprites we're larger and darker.
