I think the same thing happened to the Beatles so a bit of poetic justice there...

I'm not sure I follow you?
maybe poetic justice was the wrong term... it didnt rhyme for a start. I just mean how oasis clearly try and emulate the beatles at every opportunity, so him getting hassle for moving to London like they did is a bit ironic/funny.

Yes, I can see that. One band changed the face of pop music and the other is a pub band!
  • The Beatles are a pub band? :))

It was funny when they gave Ringo the freedom of Liverpool or something like that and he said he'd never want to livein Liverpool! :))

Yeah, they don't like him. I think it was when they got European City of Culture or something like that, but they grew a shrub that they intricately clipped into a living statue of The Beatles.. And someone cut Ringo's head off and stole it.

So they spent months growing a replacement head and put it back in place - and within a couple of days, someone did it again.
  • I've worked out this year that coding at work is nowhere near as much fun as coding at home :)

Well, that and Essex, or so I've heard.
  • That Amiga actually means girlfriend in Spanish.
  • How romantic !

  • That Gauntlet by Atari (the arcade version) goes on forever, it just rotates or flips the levels once you get to the end of them and keeps going.

Shame that, I've completely lost interest in the game.

So, it was designed purely to guzzle coins as quickly as they could get away with.

An Amiga is a female friend. A girlfriend would be a novia (novia also means bride or fiancee, although the correct word for fiancee would be prometida).

Calling your girlfriend "amiga" in front of other woman would upset her ;)
    I was there, too
An' you know what they said?
Well, some of it was true!

  • The first four-ish years of my life, I believed that everyone on TV was very tiny. I believe I fell for it because very early on I had been told that there was a door in the back of the TV where the people went in.
    What now?
  • I am surprised at how many people are not aware of this....

Had a 23 year old asking me how a LP record worked and how did it skip tracks.
Yes, I did give the correct answers and then asked how many grooves did the record have, they started counting, and as they were, I said I knew the answer and wrote it down and also knew how many were on the other side of the record too...
It took them a long time to believe me that the answer was 1 on each side.
