We've done this before, but I can't find the thread. Here's a chart that we used for reference: http://cdn.zouchmagazine.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/beard-chart-graphic-design-7.jpg

Mine isn't on there, but it's basically a combination of "The Zappa" and the "Chin Curtain". :D

Unless I'm missing it, I can't see the reference chart in that there thread, so there should be another thread lying around somewhere (and I did find another when I did my search, but it wasn't in there either). How many beard threads do we need?! ;)

    WOSBO!

Well I haven't shaved properly since about may, I've trimmed it back a load of times so I haven't got a full on beard.

I will probably have a real shave when I find the motivation to cut my hair, which I've also been meaning to do since about September.

I look well scruffy at the minute, and I've taken to wearing a hat, cos' my hair is too long to style, but still too short to just leave.

I think I'll trim my face fuzz today though? Maybe? As the hair on my top lip is starting to annoy me slightly.

I (male) never have had or will have a beard or moustache or any other facial hair, as I don't like the feel.

On a slight tangent, I HATE how on modern high-definition TVs, you can see the normally invisible tiny facial hairs of women.:sad::sad:

    I tend to just:

    1) have a clean (wet) shave
    2) do nothing for a week or two until the hobo look starts creeping in
    3) GOTO 1

Can't really be bothered with all the facial hair styling. Seems like a lot of effort.

Beards seem to be the in thing at the moment, a few guys at work who are usually clean shaven are currently growing beards.
I can't be bothered with the effort as it needs a lot of styling and grooming.

I'm suitably fuzzy right now, but the increasing amount of white is a bit disconcerting. Trim time soon me thinks. :S

I have grown beards in the past... but part of it's the colouration as well and it'a wrongun now.
if I grew one now , I guess I'd look a bit like peter gabriel does now. although he's far older.

Yes me as well. I end up looking a bit like the Van Dyke on the chart, only a bit more rugged and handsome.

Huge beards seem to be very popular at the moment though. Fine if you want to look 20 years older, but most of us won't want to!

I keep my beard shortish, but since growing it, it as mentioned in the WOSBO thread it has remained.

    Pretty much same here.

Wet shave Monday morning, then leave until it either becomes annoying or I look "trampy".

Tried leaving it for a month once, just itched all the time.

crikey, either your hair grows amazingly fast or you have a different idea of what the hobo look is... That was my system too until my shaver died a few months ago... Now I have the hobo look

    Ooooh yeeeaarrrhh!

One of two pairs that I own. The other will not get touched. These ones get worn seldom.

The coolest thing about them is that on the back they have an imprint of an R key from a ZX Specrtrum, plus the rubber stripes on the sides looks and feels the same as an issue 1.

Same here except I can't leave it longer than about 3 days.

Someone at work told me I'm "too old" to grow a beard as I was born in the 70s. It does seem to be mainly twentysomethings who are rocking the folk singer look these days.
